Responsibilities & Duties

Driver – Responsibilities & Duties

Provide safe, professional and courteous non-emergency medical transportation services.
Safely transport passengers requiring wheelchair, stretcher and other approved transportation assistance according to training and company procedures.
Assist passengers during boarding, exiting, pickup and drop-off while maintaining dignity, safety and professionalism.
Properly operate vehicle ramps/lifts and safely secure wheelchairs and other mobility equipment according to training and company procedures.
Assist with approved stair-chair operations when required and properly trained.
Follow trip assignments, dispatch instructions and required steps in the Rokoli Driver App.
Complete required trip documentation accurately, including applicable facesheet and trip-status procedures.
Perform vehicle and equipment safety checks and immediately report damage, mechanical concerns, missing supplies or unsafe conditions.
Keep the vehicle clean, organized and professional throughout the shift.
Clean and sanitize passenger-contact areas and transportation equipment after each passenger according to company safety and sanitation procedures.
Communicate professionally with passengers, families, healthcare facilities, dispatchers and Rokoli personnel.
Protect passenger privacy and follow applicable HIPAA and company confidentiality requirements.
Follow traffic laws, safety requirements, company policies and transportation procedures.
Perform other transportation-related duties reasonably assigned by Rokoli LLC.

Helper – Responsibilities & Duties

Assist the Driver in providing safe, professional non-emergency medical transportation services.
Assist passengers with boarding, exiting and facility transitions according to training and company procedures.
Assist the Driver with wheelchair, stretcher, stair-chair, ramp/lift and other passenger transportation equipment as trained and directed.
Assist with loading, unloading and safe movement of approved passenger equipment and belongings.
Help maintain a safe and orderly environment around the passenger and transportation equipment.
Assist the Driver in keeping the vehicle clean and organized.
Help clean and sanitize passenger-contact areas and transportation equipment after each passenger according to company safety and sanitation procedures.
Verify that equipment used for passenger transportation is clean and ready for the next trip.
Immediately report contamination, missing supplies, damaged equipment or unsafe conditions.
Communicate respectfully and professionally with passengers, families, healthcare facilities, dispatchers and Rokoli personnel.
Protect passenger privacy and follow applicable HIPAA and company confidentiality requirements.
Follow company safety procedures and assist the Driver as reasonably required during transportation services.
A Helper may not drive a Rokoli vehicle unless separately authorized by Rokoli LLC and properly licensed and qualified.

Driver – Essential Physical Functions

This position involves regular physical activity, including:

Entering and exiting transportation vehicles repeatedly.
Standing and walking during passenger assistance and transportation duties.
Bending, reaching, pushing and pulling.
Operating wheelchair ramps and lifts.
Pushing and maneuvering occupied wheelchairs.
Assisting with stretchers and stretcher equipment.
Assisting with stair-chair equipment when required and properly trained.
Securing wheelchairs and other mobility equipment.
Loading, unloading and maneuvering transportation equipment.
Providing physical passenger assistance as required by the essential functions of the position.
Cleaning and sanitizing vehicles and transportation equipment.

Loading, unloading and maneuvering transportation equipment.
